Can Factory designed and built the new Cineworld mobile site to allow customers to browse film times and cinema details from the Cineworld chain, whilst also reading film synopses and securely booking tickets. The mobile site developed by Can Factory is compatible with today’s leading handset providers, including: Apple iPhone, Blackberry, Google Android, Windows mobile, and Nokia’s Symbian OS.
On 2nd July 2005 the organisers of Live 8 set a target of collecting 250,000,000 sign-ups to an online petition in a period of twenty hours. The capture of this volume of data from around the world was no easy task.
Can Factory acted as technical consultants and developers for this project in conjunction with the Live 8 team which included Comic Relief, Cisco, Oracle, Energis, Sun Microsystems, Empirix, Akamai and NetApp to deliver a solution to this problem.
