Warren first got involved in the online arena in the UK in 1989 working with the likes of Barclays Online, Demon Internet and Hewlett Packard. He then went on to create one of the first business to business eCommerce sites in the UK for hardware reseller Westcoast.

In 1996 Warren joined Foresight / Wheel as the CTO and managed the build of commerce solutions for clients such as Interflora, Early Learning Centre, and River Island. Having a formal systems background allowed Warren to bring real technology experience to the fledgling Internet industry. This meant that the solutions built in the early days at Foresight are still running profitably today in many of the clients' sites with little or no changes.

After many years of heading up technical divisions within large multi disciplinary agencies, Warren decided to create Can Factory to meet the needs of mission critical web applications for clients as well as produce a stream of in-house applications.

Warren is the driving force behind turning can't into can's and brings a wealth of business and technical experience to any project.

Joe has been working in the Internet industry long enough to witness (and sometimes to have had a hand in) the wrong way to do nearly everything. As a result, he is now well placed to know the right way to do things, or at least to recognise the wrong ways.

Formative years were spent in exile in the depths of the county formally known as Somerset, at one of the new wave of UK ISPs (UKOnline), being force-fed obscure UNIX commands, cider and Perl (in that order).

This was followed by six years at the large New Media agency Foresight (later to become Wheel), riding the peaks and troughs of the Internet boom, where clients included Interflora, Early Learning Centre, Fox, Disney and a wealth of luxury brands (Asprey, Garrard, YSL).

Joe's mission at Can Factory is to get things right, something which began in 2004 with the adoption of Java as the core technology and continues to this day with an advanced development system in place (source control, integrated build systems, etc).

Emma graduated from Bath University with a degree in Chemical and Bio Process Engineering before a stint working on an industrial plant and a change of thought brought her into the world of IT in 2000.

With engineering still held in great affection she embarked on her IT career as an IT Consultant in Business Intelligence with the IT consultancy firm, Thorogood. After four years of commercial programming experience in the pharmaceutical, banking, manufacturing and internet industries and after obtaining Microsoft Certified Professional status she decided it was time for a change.

She joined Can Factory in early 2004 working as a contractor. She became a permanent employee in the summer of 2004 as a developer. Since that time she has been part of many successful Can Factory projects and continues to enjoy developing open and innovative solutions to technical problems.

Stuart is Can Factory's Senior Systems Analyst, and is a key contributor in the requirements analysis and specification of our ICT solutions. With a long established background in Technical Project Management, Stuart also manages some of Can Factory's Technically Focused IT solutions.

Before coming to work for Can Factory in 2004, Stuart spent two years working as a Special Events IT and A/V solutions consultant, for clients including Variety Magazine; Scottish Executive & British Council - 15CCEM; Button Plc.

Working in Systems Management and Networking consultancy from 1995, Stuart moved into the development end of the market as Head of Technology and Technical Project Management (1999-2002) for Foresight Europe Ltd . His role entailed the day-to-day management of the entire in-house development team. Another of Stuart's principle responsibilities was to ensure that technical streams of all projects were delivered on time, using the most appropriate technology.

In previous roles Stuart was substantially involved in the management, specification, development and implementation of the several large-scale ICT solutions for clients including Interflora, Early Learning Centre, Comic Relief, Asprey, Fox Europe Entertainment and BVI Europe.

Stuart loves to find the best solutions to all sorts of problems and is a welcome addition to the Can Factory team.
