On 2nd July 2005 the organisers of Live 8 set a target of collecting 250,000,000 sign-ups to an online petition in a period of twenty hours. The capture of this volume of data from around the world was no easy task.

Can Factory acted as technical consultants and developers for this project in conjunction with the Live 8 team which included Comic Relief, Cisco, Oracle, Energis, Sun Microsystems, Empirix, Akamai and NetApp to deliver a solution to this problem.
