Which?

We were invited by Which? to help them close a gap in their current online business model.

Historically Which? provided and maintained a series of expert reviews and reports on thousands of products that their subscriber base was interested in. This allowed their subscribers to find out not only the best but also the worst products in each category.

Which? wanted us to help continue the journey to ensure their subscribers could more easily find not only the best product, but also the best place to purchase as well as the cheapest price. This meant redesigning significant parts of their business processes as well as working with a large number of partners and their in-house teams to ensure the service not only worked but was highly usable.

Can Factory provided a solution that would allow the editorial team at Which? to publish product data into the database which would drive the Reviews portion of the application.

In addition, we also integrated with PriceGrabber to display the latest product prices. Linking to the relevant PriceGrabber product was done by hand by the editorial team for greater control over the accuracy of the links.

After the successful launch of this project we went on to work with Which? on a number of other projects such as allowing members / subscribers to create their own reviews to add to the main reviews. Our team worked closely with the Which? business and product teams to capture requirements and constantly ensure that the development of the project was keeping up with the ongoing changes within the organisation.

The project has been a great success and is something that Which? continue to build on.
