Can Factory are aware that green field projects are few and far between which means that most of our customers have existing investment is hardware, software or IT solutions. Our aim is not to replace these solutions and where it makes sense to integrate them with our solutions.
One example of how we have done this is in a recent e-commerce project. The client already had a stock control and ordering system in place for their mail order business. We were asked to help them take that system online. Rather than replace the existing systems and processes Can Factory worked closely with the client and their existing suppliers to create the web site from the data stored in the existing systems. The advantages of this approach were many but the client was particularly impressed that there was little or no additional effort to publish new products from the site. There was also no need to edit stock levels as the systems were linked together. Therefore as a product went out of or came back into stock it was automatically reflected on their website.
