Can Factory releases Cineworld iOS 7 and iPhone 5 update
In March 2014, Cineworld finally released the eagerly anticipated updates for both iOS7, and iPhone 5 support. The update included a complete UI refresh to better align the app with Apple’s iOS7. The Cineworld iOS7 and iPhone 5 app has been downloaded over 2.6 million times to date.
Designed and developed by Can Factory, the Cineworld application provides cinema-goers with quick and easy access to film content, alongside the ability to purchase tickets directly for Cineworld’s cinemas in the UK and Ireland.
Film-fans can use the iPhone app to locate their nearest Cineworld cinema and access detailed information including: facilities, contact details, maps, directions and screening times. Users can also select their ‘Favourite’ cinemas for easier access to their local listings.
In addition, the application provides access to film trailers, and details of upcoming releases.
Due to the large number of co-located Cineworld cinemas in major UK cities, Can Factory also developed a unique solution to allow users to simultaneously compare film schedules and listings across multiple venues.
Once users have made a decision, they can quickly and securely book tickets via the application.
The Cineworld iPhone Application is available to download free of charge from the iTunes Store.
