This policy explains what personal information Can Factory collects through our websites, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It covers www.canfactory.com and our other websites that link to this policy.
We are a small company and we keep things simple: we only collect what we need to reply to you, to recruit, and (with your consent) to understand how our websites are used. We do not sell personal information.

What information we collect
When you contact us. Our contact forms ask for some or all of: your name, company, email address, phone number and your message. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to send.
When you apply for a job. Our application form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the role you are interested in and your message. If you send us a CV or other documents, we receive those too.
When you give us a testimonial or feedback. Your name, job title, company and the words you have agreed we may publish.
When you browse our websites. If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, the tools described below collect information about your device, browser and how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Some information is processed without cookies to keep the site secure: see “Security and spam protection” below.

Who we share your information with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our websites and our business. They only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Cloudflare hosts our websites, protects them from attacks and checks our forms are completed by a person (Cloudflare Turnstile). See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- Resend delivers the messages you send through our forms to our inbox.
- Google provides our email (Google Workspace) and, with your consent, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads measurement.
- Microsoft, with your consent, provides Microsoft Clarity, which shows us how visitors use our pages through usage statistics, heatmaps and session replays, and Microsoft Advertising.
- LinkedIn, with your consent, provides the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which measures how many enquiries come from our LinkedIn adverts. See the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
We may also share information where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or with a buyer if our business is ever sold, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers process information in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected either by UK adequacy regulations (for example, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by contract terms approved by the UK Information Commissioner.
How long we keep your information
- Enquiries: for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together.
- Job applications: for up to twelve months after the vacancy closes, unless you agree that we may keep them longer for future roles.
- Testimonials: for as long as they are published, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Analytics and advertising data: in line with the retention settings of each tool, which we keep to what we need.
- Records we must keep by law, such as financial records, for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it;
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it. You can change your cookie choices at any time on our Cookie Policy page.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are not strictly necessary if you agree to them. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use and lets you change your choices.
Security and spam protection
We protect your information with sensible technical and organisational measures, and we limit access to the people who need it. Cloudflare checks the traffic to our websites to block attacks, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that our forms are completed by a person; both process information about your device and browser to do so. If you find a security issue, please see our Security Policy.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our websites or the way we handle information change, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on our website.
